2021 was a rather quick year to go by, despite of the mid-year pro-longed lockdown, Mr. Lam and I congratulate all of you that you have managed to pull through those obstacles and difficult circumstances of the pandemic.

Despite of these challenges, on-premise classes were resumed as we entered into the month of October 2021 and we are delighted to see the commitment of both students and parents being back for lessons, which is of commendable courage. The volume of exam recording is at its peak and never before within just 3 short months that we've done so many recordings and submissions. Kudos to those who did truly well in their attempt on either the ABRSM or the Trinity College London digital/performance grade and diploma exams.

We also had multiple sessions of rehearsal with those who participated in the coming L & J YouTube channel performance, which we hope to launch at early 2022. All in all, it was a great pleasure and experience to the students, the teachers and the school.

New Instrument Owner

Congratulations to those who purchased their new handcrafted violins, violas and cellos. Each of these instruments is a unique product of skilled craftsmanship which deserves your attention of care to it. Remember to play them frequently because this is the only way to teach the instrument to “sing”, seasoned and mature in sound; do keep those instruments in a cool and dry place and never have them sun-bake inside the car to prevent cracks.

Year End Term Holiday

As always, L & J's year end term holiday starts on 22 December and ends on 1st January the next year (22/12/2021 - 1/1/2022). Be sure to be back on 2nd January 2022.

L & J wishes all a very Merry Christmas and hopefully…just hopefully…a LockDown-Free New Year ahead!!! Cheers and we'll meet again next year.

Cordially,
Max Lam
